Sarfira Advance Booking Collection Day 1: Akshay Kumar, who was lat seen in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Tiger Shroff, is once again in the headlines and this time for his upcoming release Sarfira. Also starring Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal in the lead, Sarfira is directed by Sudha Kongara and is the remake of popular Tamil film Soorarai Pottru starring Suriya in the lead. For the uninitiated, Soorarai Pottru was an adaptation of G. R. Gopinath's memoir Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey.

To note, Sarfira revolves around a man who has the aim to make affordable airlines for low income people which several enemies try to impede. From the cast to the trailer, everything about Sarfira has been making headlines ever since it was announced. Given the buzz, the makers has begun the advance booking of Sarfira lately and there are speculations about how it will fare at the box office.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Sarfira has made a collection of Rs 22.4 lakhs in the first 24 hours as the movie has managed to sold over 11 thousand tickets so far. Interestingly, Sarfira has managed to beat Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan which had reported sold over 9500 tickets in 24 hours. It will be interesting to see how Sarfira will fare at the box office post release.

It is reported that Suriya will be making a special appearance in Sarfira which is touted to be Akshay's 150th film in a lead role. Talking about the same Akshay stated, "This is my 150th film and it is my best film. I am very thankful to Sudha for giving me this film and the opportunity to be in it". He was further seen singing praises for co-star Radhika and asserted, "This is the best performance I have ever seen. I don't know what you all think about her. She is not Maharashtrian, but she has acted like one. She is very well-spoken. Her language was very good and she has gone through whole classes to learn how to speak Marathi and what to say. That is what she has done". Sarfira will be hitting the theatres on July 12.
