Sarfira Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction: Akshay’s Film To Have A Slow Start; Will It Taste Success?

Sarfira Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction: Akshay Kumar, who was last seen in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan early this year, is once again making headlines for his recent release. To note, Sarfira is the remake of Tamil film Soorarai Pottru starring Suriya which was an adaptation of G. R. Gopinath's memoir Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey. And now that Sarfira has finally hit the screens, there have been speculations about how it will fare at the box office and if it will end Akshay's dry spell by tasting success.
Sarfira Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction
In an exclusive interaction with Filmibeat, film business expert and producer Girish Johar stated, "Sarfira we all know, whatever material we have seen in trailer and songs, it's a very limited urban tier targeted film targeting metros. It's a biopic and it's also a remake of a south hit. Having said that the traction of the film is quite decent but I feel the film will rely on the word of mouth. Despite top lining Akshay Kumar, I believe the audience would want to wait for the word of mouth and then probably the numbers could kick in. As of now, I think the film is cracking around Rs 2-3 crores on its day 1 but if the word of mouth kick in, the evening shows might change gear and it can have a higher number and even a lower number".
Meanwhile, talking about Sarfira, Akshay stated, "This is my 150th film and it is my best film. I am very thankful to Sudha for giving me this film and the opportunity to be in it". He was further seen singing praises for co-star Radhika and asserted, "This is the best performance I have ever seen. I don't know what you all think about her. She is not Maharashtrian, but she has acted like one. She is very well-spoken. Her language was very good and she has gone through whole classes to learn how to speak Marathi and what to say. That is what she has done".
