Sarfira Producer Mahaveer Jain Comments Akshay's Film's Box Office Failure: It's Heartbreaking

Sarfira Producer Mahaveer Jain On Film s Box Office Failure

Akshay Kumar collaborated with Radhika Madan for the first time in Sudha Kongara's Sarfira and the audience can't keep calm about it. Also starring Paresh Rawala and Seema Biswas in the lead, Sarfira is the official Bollywood remake of Suriya's Sorarai Pottru and it has managed to create a massive buzz in the town. In fact, Suriya's cameo also got the audience quite excited.

While Sarfira had hit the theatres amid a massive buzz, it failed to make the box office ring since the beginning. Despite decent reviews from the fans, Sarfira saw a slow start at the box office with an opening day collection of Rs 2.5 crores. In fact, it was seen struggling not just in the opening weekend but also during the first week and barely touched the Rs 20 crores mark.

And while Sarfira has emerged as box office office failure, recently Producer Mahaveer Jain got candid about the movie's box office collection and called it disheartening. To note, Jain recently watched Sarfira and said "Sarfira is an extraordinary film, which touches our hearts and our spirits. I am deeply inspired by the grit and tenacity of the character".

He further added, "We have always believed that good content always gets its due, but Films like Sarfira not performing well is heartbreaking. All the people whom I know and have watched the film have been praising the writing, direction, performances, everything. I believe this is one of the best performances ever of Akshay Kumar, he's the heart & soul of the film with Radhika Madan. Sarifra deserves much more love & affection".

Meanwhile, talking about Sarfira, Akshay stated, "This is my 150th film and it is my best film. I am very thankful to Sudha for giving me this film and the opportunity to be in it". He was further seen singing praises for co-star Radhika and asserted, "This is the best performance I have ever seen. I don't know what you all think about her. She is not Maharashtrian, but she has acted like one. She is very well-spoken. Her language was very good and she has gone through whole classes to learn how to speak Marathi and what to say. That is what she has done".
