Directed by Abhinay Deo, the action-thriller revolves around the story of a simple housewife named Savitri (played by Divya) who goes to great lengths for her husband Nakul (played by Harshvardhan Rane) and fight against the government and administration.

The official synopsis of the film reads, "Savi, a simple housewife, attempts a daring jailbreak to get her husband out of one of Englands high-security prisons consisting of 400 inmates, 75 armed guards, and 60 surveillance cameras."

Produced by T-Series and Vishesh Films, the movie also features Anil Kapoor and Harshvardhan Rane in important roles. Savi is touted to be the modernized version of the Indian mythological tale of 'Sati-Savitri'.

Savi Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction

Amid decent anticipation, Divya film released in theatres today. Divya's never-seen-before action-packed avatar has impressed the audience. Surprisingly, the film is likely to have a good opening in cinemas.

According to trade analyst and film critic Sumit Kadel, Savi is estimated to have Rs 1.5+ cr opening, which is a good number considering the competition and the ongoing dry spell at the box office.

Will Savi Be Able To Beat Mr. & Mrs. Mahi On Opening Day?

Both Savi and Mr. & Mrs. Mahi are likely to benefit hugely from the Cinema Lovers Day offer, where the ticket price has been slashed down to Rs 99 only.

However, Savi is unlikely to be able to surpass Mr. & Mahi's opening day numbers. Given the current buzz, the Rajkummar Rao-Janhvi Kapoor starrer is likely to have a solid opening of Rs 6-8 crores!

Nonetheless, Divya's film will give a tough competition to the Karan Johar production venture.
