Srikanth Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction: Rajkummar Rao is one of the finest actors in Bollywood and there are no second thoughts about it. In his career of over a decade, he has given us several hits and proved his worth as versatile actor. While it is always a treat to watch him onscreen, Rajkummar is now making headlines for his upcoming film. We are talking about Srikanth which also features Alaya F, Jyothika and Sharad Kelkar In the lead.

To note, Srikanth happens to be a biopic on Srikanth Bolla, a visually-impaired industrialist and the founder of Bollant Industries. Helmed by Tushar Hiranandani, the movie has managed to create a buzz in the town with its endearing trailer. And while Srikanth is expected to hit the screens on May 10, there have been speculations about the movie's box office collection.

Talking about the same, film producer and trade analyst Girish Johar, in an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat stated, "Srikanth's trailer has been very endearing and overwhelming and logon ko kafi pasand bhi aaya hai. However, the current mood of the nation is more into politics and elections. But the good part about Srikanth is when the film is releasing it has ample scope. There is no major film opposition. It is the major film with no other option for the audience, so thoda sa bhi word of mouth acha hoga, logon ko pasand aayegi toh it has the capability of catching on quite well at the box office".

He further stated, "I would be happy if it opens around the mark of Rs 2cr or Rs 2+ crores and then it can build upon as there are no major release in the coming days. It can have a long run at the box office. Besides Rajkummar Rao is one of the best talents the country has in present generation. I am expecting the film to rely heavily on word of mouth. It will start a little slow but then in the evening, night and over the weekend, it can probably catch up which is best trajectory for this film".

Meanwhile, Rajkummar got candid about playing the lead role in Srikanth and stated that he could relate with his background. "I could definitely resonate with his perseverance, with his grit and his working nature. I wouldn't say exactly, but I could somehow relate with his background because he too comes from a very humble background. And in my life also there were a lot of hardships when it came to money and having a big dream in life and to actually achieve that dream was something I could relate to," he told First Post
