Srikanth Box Office Collection Day 1: Rajkummar Rao, who is one of the most versatile and talented actors in Bollywood, has come up with his first release of the year. We are talking about Srikanth which is a biopic on Srikanth Bolla, a visually-impaired industrialist and the founder of Bollant Industries. Helmed by Tushar Hiranandani, Srikanth also featured Jyothika, Sharad Kelkar and Alaya F in the lead.

The movie had opened to rave reviews from the audience and everyone has been in absolute awe of Rajkummar Rao's performance calling the movie an empowering watch. As the movie has opened to rave reviews from the audience, Srikanth made a decent start at the box office. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Srikanth made an opening day collection of Rs 2.25 crores. While it was a good start, Srikanth becomes Rajkummar's second highest opener post pandemic after Roohi. On the other hand, Srikanth has also managed to beat the much appreciated Laapata Ladies with a massive gap. The movie had opened with a collection of Rs 75 lakhs.

Meanwhile, Rajkummar got candid about playing the lead role in Srikanth and stated that he could relate with his background. "I could definitely resonate with his perseverance, with his grit and his working nature. I wouldn't say exactly, but I could somehow relate with his background because he too comes from a very humble background. And in my life also there were a lot of hardships when it came to money and having a big dream in life and to actually achieve that dream was something I could relate to," he told First Post.
