Srikanth Box Office Collection Day 13

Srikanth Box Office Collection Day 13: Rajkummar Rao has been all over the headlines and rightfully so. After all, his first release of the year Srikanth has won millions of hearts. Helmed by Tushar Hiranandani, Srikanth is a biopic on Srikanth Bolla, a visually-impaired industrialist and the founder of Bollant Industries and has turned out to be an endearing and inspirational watch. While Rajkummar played the titular role in the movie, Srikanth also featured Alay F, Sharad Kelkar and Jyothika in the lead.

Srikanth not just won hearts and garnered positive word of mouth, the movie recorded an opening day collection of Rs 2.25 crores followed by an impressive opening weekend. Though the first Monday say a drop of over 62% in the collections, the first week saw Srikanth maintaining a good hold at the box office despite a continuous dip in numbers. Interestingly, the positive word of mouth and no competition at the box office turned favourable for Srikanth which saw a phenomenal growth of over 83% in the collection.

Although the second Monday saw another drop in collection, Srikanth has been trying to have a steady run at the box office during the second week. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Srikanth made a collection of Rs 1.5 crores on day 11 (second Monday) followed by a collection of Rs 1.25 crores on day 12 (second Tuesday). As per the early estimates, Srikanth has minted Rs 1.25 crores on day 13 (second Wednesday) following which the movie's overall collection to Rs 30.10 crores. Interestingly, Srikanth managed to beat Maidaan at the box office. For the uninitiated, Maidaan had minted Rs 75 lakhs on day 13.

Interestingly, as Rajkummar is enjoying the love coming his way with Srikant, he is now gearing up for his second release - Mr and Mrs Mahi with Janhvi Kapoor. Helmed by Sharan Sharma, the movie marks Rajkummar's second collaboration with Janvhi after Roohi. Recently, Janhvi got candid about the movie and said, "Our director is a purist and works with a lot of honesty, so he wanted me to become a cricketer for the film. He didn't want any cheating on that, didn't want to use VFX, or do anything half-heartedly. He wanted me to be one with this universe, be a cricketer wholeheartedly. I suffered a lot of injuries as well while prepping. Both my shoulders were dislocated, but I'd like to give all the credit to him, the director, and both my coaches Abhishek Nayar and Vikrant sir, who have done a lot of hard work and have held my hand at every turn"
