Srikanth Box Office Collection Day 6 Prediction: Rajkummar’s Film Moves Towards 16Cr; Will It Beat Roohi?

Srikanth Box Office Collection Day 6 Prediction: Rajkummar Rao and Jyothika are all over the news today and rightfully so. After all, their first collaboration has been doing wonders at the box office. We are talking about Srikanth which features Rajkummar in the titular role with Jyothika playing the role of his mother. Helmed by Tushar Hiranandani, Srikanth also features Alaya F and Sharad Kelkar in the lead.

Interestingly, Srikanth is a biopic on Srikanth Bolla, a visually-impaired industrialist and the founder of Bollant Industries. The movie, which created a massive buzz with the endearing trailer, has opened to rave reviews from the audience and critics alike with everyone in awe of Rajkummar's 'Nation Award Winning' performance. Given the rave reviews and the buzz, Srikanth saw a decent start at the box office with an opening day collection of Rs 2.25 crores.

Srikanth saw an impressive growth during the opening weekend, however, the first Monday came with around 68.5% dip in numbers. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Srikanth made a collection of Rs 1.65 crores on day 4 (first Monday). The movie saw a slight growth in numbers yesterday wherein it minted Rs 1.68 crores (day 5/ first Tuesday) which took the overall collection of Srikanth to Rs 15.03 crores.

Given the ongoing trend, Srikanth is expected to have a strong hold at the box office today and will be seen inching towards Rs 16 crores mark. While this Tushar Hiranandani directorial is expected to rake in Rs 1-1.5 crores today (day 6/ first Wednesday), it will be interesting to see if it will manage to beat Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Roohi. To note, Roohi, which was Rajkummar and Janhvi's first collaboration, had minted Rs 1.20 crores on its first Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Rajkummar got candid about playing the lead role in Srikanth and stated that he could relate with his background. "I could definitely resonate with his perseverance, with his grit and his working nature. I wouldn't say exactly, but I could somehow relate with his background because he too comes from a very humble background. And in my life also there were a lot of hardships when it came to money and having a big dream in life and to actually achieve that dream was something I could relate to," he told Firstpost.
