Srikanth Box Office Day 20 Prediction: Rajkummar’s Film Struggles To Make 1Cr Ahead Mr & Mrs Mahi Release

Srikanth Box Office Collection Day 20 Prediction: Rajkummar Rao is a busy man these days and rightfully so. After all, he is gearing up for the release of his much anticipated release Mr and Mrs Mahi. Ahead of the movie's release, the actor is also making headlines for his first release of the year. We are talking about Srikanth which had hit the screens on May 10 and opened to rave reviews from the audience.

Helmed by Tushar Hiranandani, Srikanth happens to be a biopic on Srikanth Bolla, a visually-impaired industrialist and the founder of Bollant Industries with Rajkummar playing the titular role. The movie also features Jyothika, Alaya F and Sharad Kelkar in the lead. Srikanth has turned out to be an endearing watch with fans demanding a National Award for Rajkummar Rao. Interestingly, Srikanth has been doing a good business at the box office.

For the uninitiated, Srikanth started the box office journey with an opening day collection of Rs 2.25 crores. While it the movie has been doing a phenomenal business during the weekend, the weekdays seem to full of struggles for the movie. To note, Srikanth saw a massive jump during the third weekend lately and managed to rake in Rs 37 crores at the box office. However, the third Monday came with a massive drop in collections.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Srikanth minted Rs 85 lakhs on third Monday (day 18) followed by an earning of Rs 89 lakhs yesterday (day 19/ third Tuesday) which took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 38.74 crores. Given the trends, Srikanth will continue to struggle to make Rs 1 crores at the box office today (day 20/ third Wednesday). And with Mr and Mrs Mahi hitting the theatres on May 31, it will be interesting to see if Srikanth will manage to survive the competition with the new release.

Interestingly, as Rajkummar is enjoying the love coming his way with Srikant, his Mr and Mrs Mahi with Janhvi Kapoor marks Rajkummar's second collaboration with Janvhi after Roohi. Recently, Janhvi got candid about this Sharan Sharma directorial and said, "Our director is a purist and works with a lot of honesty, so he wanted me to become a cricketer for the film. He didn't want any cheating on that, didn't want to use VFX, or do anything half-heartedly. He wanted me to be one with this universe, be a cricketer wholeheartedly. I suffered a lot of injuries as well while prepping. Both my shoulders were dislocated, but I'd like to give all the credit to him, the director, and both my coaches Abhishek Nayar and Vikrant sir, who have done a lot of hard work and have held my hand at every turn"
