Srikanth Box Office Day 8 Prediction: Rajkummar’s Film To Inch Close To 20Cr Ahead Of Second Weekend?

Srikanth Box Office Collection Day 8 Prediction: Rajkummar Rao has all the reasons to grin from ear to ear. After all, his first release of the year Srikanth, which also features Jyothika, Sharad Kelkar and Alaya F in the lead, has been winning hearts. The movie is a biopic on Srikanth Bolla, a visually-impaired industrialist and the founder of Bollant Industries and features Rajkummar in the titular role.

After creating a massive buzz with its endearing trailer and an impressive ensemble of cast, Srikanth opened to rave reviews from critics and audience alike. In fact, fans have been in awe of Rajkummar Rao's performance and called it a National Award winning stint. Interestingly, Srikanth saw a good start at the box office with an opening day collection of Rs 2.25 crores followed by a hike in numbers during the opening weekend.

While Srikanth did see a dip in numbers on the first Monday, it has been trying to have a steady hold at the box office during the first week. In fact, deposited having a box office clash with Wes Ball's Kingdom Of The Planet Of Apes, Srikanth managed to rake in Rs 1.5 crores on day 6 (first Wednesday) and Rs 1.45 crores on day 7 (first Thursday) taking the first week collection of this Rajkummar Rao starrer to Rs 17.90 crores.

Given the ongoing trend, Srikanth is expected to see another dip in collection and is likely to mint Rs 1-1.25 crores today (day 8/ second Friday) as it inches close to Rs 20 crores mark at the box office ahead of the second weekend. It will be interesting to see if Srikanth will be able to pick up pace during the second weekend.

Meanwhile, Rajkummar got candid about playing the lead role in Srikanth and stated that he could relate to his background. "I could definitely resonate with his perseverance, with his grit and his working nature. I wouldn't say exactly, but I could somehow relate to his background because he too comes from a very humble background. And in my life also there were a lot of hardships when it came to money and having a big dream in life and to actually achieve that dream was something I could relate to," he told Firstpost.

On the other hand,Rajkummar is also gearing up for his second release of the year, Mr and Mrs Mahi with Janhvi Kapoor. Helmed by Sharan Sharma, the movie marks Rajkummar's second collaboration with Janhvi after Roohi. Mr and Mrs Mahi is slated to release on May 31, 2024.
