Despite facing competition from Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu's Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham's Vedaa, the film has surpassed expectations at the box office.

The horror-comedy Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, has become a historic blockbuster at the box office. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film broke records by surpassing Animal on its second Saturday, just 10 days after its release. According to estimates, Stree 2 experienced a significant surge on its second Saturday, earning approximately Rs 33 to Rs 34 crore net in India, with potential for even higher figures.

Stree 2 continued its impressive theatrical run into the second weekend, maintaining strong momentum. After an exceptional first extended week with earnings of Rs 292 crore (including previews), the film collected Rs 18.50 crore on Day 9 and around Rs 34 crore on Day 10. This marks an 83% increase, setting a new record for the highest second Saturday ever, surpassing the previous record held by Ranbir Kapoor's Animal (Rs 33 crore).

With a 10-day total of Rs 344.50 crore net at the Indian box office, Stree 2 is on track for another outstanding day on its second Sunday. The film is expected to benefit from the Janmashtami holiday on Monday, likely pushing it into the Rs 400 crore club.

Released on Independence Day, Stree 2 enjoys a six-week run without significant competition from other Hindi films in September. It has a strong chance of surpassing the lifetime collections of Animal, Pathaan, and Gadar 2, and could even rival the final numbers of Jawan by the end of its theatrical journey.
