Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 18: The year 2024 has turned out to be quite productive for Rajkummar Rao and there are no second thoughts about it. After all, he had three releases in the year so far - Mr & Mrs Mahi, Srikanth and Stree 2. While the initial two releases did an average performance at the box office, his recent release Stree 2 has emerged as a blockbuster and has been shattering box office records since the first day itself. Also starring Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee in the lead, Stree 2 is the sequel to the 2018 release Stree.
While the movie was released amid a massive buzz, it saw a phenomenal opening at the box office with a collection of Rs 60.3 crores and marked the highest opener of the year. Stree 2 went on to shine bright during the first week and saw an impressive growth during the second weekend as well which left everyone might impressed. In fact, Stree 2 has emerged as a mighty competition for Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan and Pathaan, Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 and Prabhas' Baahubali 2.

Though Stree 2 was seen struggling at the box office during the second week, it witnessed a new life during the third weekend wherein it saw a spike in numbers once again. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Stree 2 saw a jump of over 94% on day 17 (third Saturday) wherein it minted Rs 16.5 crores. This was followed by another jump in numbers on day 18 (third Sunday) as Stree 2 earned Rs 22 crores and took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 480.05 crores.

Interestingly, Stree 2 has created a record on its third Sunday and has left everyone in absolute awe. The horror comedy, which is helmed by Amar Kaushik, has recorded the highest third Sunday collection of all times. To note, it has managed to beat Baahubali 2 (Rs 17.75 crores), Gadar 2 (Rs 16.1 crores) and Jawan (Rs 13.9 crores) respectively.
Meanwhile, given the phenomenal success of Stree 2, reports about the third installment of the franchise has been rife. Reacting to the same, Abhishek Banerjee told Indian Express that Stree 2 is likely to take time. He also emphasised that while some parts of the script has been written, the next installment is going to be a "big epic saga".
