Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 25: Rajkummar’s Film Sees Decent Hike; Creates A Record On 4th Sunday

Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 25: Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2 has emerged as a blockbuster hit and there are no second thoughts about it. The horror comedy, which also features Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee in the lead, has set the box office on fire since the first day and has shattered several records. In fact, while Stree 2 witnessed a box office clash with Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham's Vedaa, it mananged to crush both the films on the first day itself.

With an opening day collection of Rs 60.3 crores, Stree 2 recorded the highest opening of 2024 and saw a phenomenal growth during the opening weekend. In fact, with no big releases in its way during the second and third week, Stree 2 has managed to have a good hold at the box office. While this Amara Kaushik directorial did see a significant drop in numbers ahead of the fourth weekend with the movie struggling to touch Rs 10 cr in a day, the fourth weekend came as a relief for the makers.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Stree 2 saw a growth of over 88% on day 24 (fourth Saturday) wherein the movie minted Rs 8.5 crores. This was followed by a collection of Rs 10.75 crores on day 25 (fourth Sunday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 527 crores. Interestingly, Stree 2 has managed to beat the lifetime collection of Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 which was Rs 524.45 crores.

Stree 2 Beats Jawan; Records Highest Day 25 Collection

Apart from surpassing Gadar 2's lifetime collection, Stree 2 also created a record on day 24 of release. After all, the horror comedy has recorded the highest day 24 collection of all times. Yes! Stree 2 has managed to beat Jawan which had recorded Rs 9.12 crores.

Meanwhile, after the phenomenal success of Stree 2, there have been speculations about the makers planning the third installment. Talking about the same, Abhishek Banerjee, who plays the role of Janaa in the franchise, told the Indian Express that while Stree 3 will take some time, some parts of the script have been written. He also emphasised that it will be "a big epic saga".
