Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 26: Rajkummar’s Film See 70% Dip On 4th Monday; Mints Half Of Jawan Numbers

Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 26: Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2 has been one of the most talked about movies of the year. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the horror comedy has managed to set the box office on fire on the first day itself. Also starring Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana, Stree 2 was the much awaited sequel to the 2018 release Stree. Interestingly, Stree 2 revolved around the sarkata bhoot who was haunting the women of Chanderi and Rajkummar and his gang is here to save the town again

Interestingly, Stree 2 left everyone in awe after recording the highest opener of 2024 with an opening day collection of Rs 60.3 crores. The movie went on to see good hike during the opening weekend and a good hold during week 1 and 2nd weekend. While this Rajkummar's film saw slight drop in number during the second week, the third week came with a significant drop as Stree 2 struggled to make Rs 10 crores in a day. However, the fourth weekend came as a sigh of relief.

Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 26

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Stree 2 recorded the highest day 25 collection with an earning of Rs 11 crores (fourth Sunday). However, Stree 2 saw a significant drop in numbers on day 26 (fourth Monday) of over 70%. Yes! Stree 2 failed to touch Rs 5 crores mark and minted Rs 3.25 crores which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 530 crores.

Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 26: Stree 2 Earns Half Of SRK's Jawan's Collection

With a major drop in numbers, Stree 2 recorded the third highest day 26 collection of all times after Jawan and Pathaan respectively. In fact, Stree 2 minted half of Jawan's day 26 earnings which was around Rs 6.65 crores. It will be interesting to see if Stree 2 can pick up pace in the coming days.

Stree 2 OTT Release Details

After creating a havoc at the ticket windows, Stree 2 is all set to make its way on OTT platform in less than two months. According to media reports, Stree 2 will be releasing on Prime Video on September 27 and will premiere at around midnight.

Meanwhile, after the phenomenal success of Stree 2, there have been speculations about the makers planning the third installment. Talking about the same, Abhishek Banerjee, who plays the role of Janaa in the franchise, told the Indian Express that while Stree 3 will take some time, some parts of the script have been written. He also emphasised that it will be "a big epic saga".
