Stree 2, Khel Khel Mein, Vedaa Box Office Collection: Box office clashes are nothing new in Bollywood. Last year, during the Independence Day weekend, Gadar 2 and OMG 2 had hit the big screens, and while the former was a blockbuster, the latter was also a hit. This year, it was a three-way clash at the box office, Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2, Akshay Kumar starrer Khel Khel Mein, and John Abraham-Sharvari starrer Vedaa.

If we talk about the reviews, Khel Khel Mein and Stree 2 received positive reviews, and Vedaa also got mixed to positive reviews. However, if we talk about the box office, Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa have received a dismal response.

Filmibeat spoke to producer and film business expert, Girish Johar, about this three-way clash. When asked him if Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa would have done a better business if they got a solo release, he said, "Definitely! Both the films are very good, but because of the juggernaut that Stree 2 has been, Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa, have not received a good response. A solo release would have given both the movies better collection, if not good at least an average collection. It would have been even better for the exhibitors."

When asked if he thinks that the audience is not keen on watching Akshay Kumar movies, Johar said, "No, not at all! As I said, Khel Khel Mein is a good film, but the promotions were a bit underwhelming. It is not a massy film, so whatever collection it is getting is from the urban centres. It all depends on the teaser-trailer. One good teaser or tariler can get Akshay back. Look at the teaser of Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava, it is so good."

Stree 2 Box Office Collection

In four days, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer has collected Rs. 191 crore which is excellent. Looking at the current scenario, we can clearly expect that Stree 2 will cross Rs. 300 crore at the box office, and we won't be surprised if it crosses Rs. 400 crore as well.

Khel Khel Mein Box Office Collection

Khel Khel Mein collected Rs. 14 crore in four days which is quite less. The amount that the film has collected over the extended weekend, should have been the opening day collection

Vedaa Box Office Collection

Meanwhile, John Abraham and Sharvari starrer Vedaa has also collected in the same range as Khel Khel Mein, Rs. 14 crore. Earlier, John and Akshay have clashed at the box office multiple times, and both the movies did well. But, clearly, in front of Stree 2, KKM and Vedaa have been ignored by the audiences.
