Stree 2 Hit Or Flop: After giving a phenomenal hit with the 2018 release Stree, Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor are back with the much anticipated sequel of the horror comedy and the excitement about the same is palpable. Titled as Stree 2 Sarkate Ka Aatank, the horror comedy is helmed by Amar Kaushik and is the fifth installment of the Maddock Supernatural universe after Stree, Roohi, Bhediya and Munjya. Apart from Shraddha and Rajkummar, Stree 2 also features Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee and Pankaj Tripathi in the lead and also has cameos by Varun Dhawan and Tamannaah Bhatia.

Interestingly, unlike Stree, Stree 2 will be dealing with a sarkata bhoot (a headless ghost) who had apparently taken over Chanderi and has been targeting the women. From the intriguing trailer to the peppy numbers, Stree 2 has managed to create a substantial buzz in the town and has left the fans wondering if it will be a hit at the box office.

According to media reports, Stree 2 is said to boasts a budget exceeding 50 crores and is said to be shot in Chanderi(in Madhya Pradesh) and Bihar.

In an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, producer and film business expert Girish Johar is expected to have a grand opening at the box office. While the movie will be having paid reviews on August 14 evening, Stree 2 is expected to make an opening day collection of Rs 30 crores and is likely to exceed Rs 30 crores mark based on the word of mouth.

If the box office predictions turned out to be true, Stree 2 will be shattering several box office records. The horror comedy will not only manage to beat Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter to become the highest opener of 2024 but it will also record Shraddha and Rajkummar's highest opener ever respectively. This isn't all. Stree 2 has already registered highest advance booking collection for day 1 after beating Fighter and Kalki 2898 AD.

So far, Stree 2 has managed to create a massive buzz in the town and the early reviews of the movie has called it a perfect roller coaster ride.
