Tumbbad Box Office Day 5 Prediction: Sohum’s Film To Hold Steady; To Inch Close To 10Cr Post Re-Release

Tumbbad Box Office Collection Day 5 Prediction: Sohum Shah starrer Tumbbad has been all over the news lately and rightfully so. After all, the folk horror film had recently re-released in theatres and has managed to take the ticket windows by a storm. Helmed by Rahi Anil Barve, the movie was jointly produced by Sohum Shah, Aanand L. Rai, Mukesh Shah and Amita Shah. While Sohum featured in the movie as Vinayak Rao, it also starred Rudra Soni, Harsh K, Anita Date-Kelkar etc in the lead.

Written by Mitesh Shah, Prasad, Rahi Anil Barve, and Anand Gandhi, Tumbbad is set in a village of the same name which has been cursed by the Gods with incessant rain for apparently built a temple to worship Hastar, the demon god. Besides, it revolved around a Konkanastha Brahmin family in the village who are seeking an ancestral health which is linked to Hastar. Interestingly, Tumbbad has managed to leave everyone in absolute awe and is ruling the box office.

To note, Tumbbad has received a rave response at the box office post re-release and made an opening day collection of Rs 1.50 crores. This was followed by an earning of Rs 2.60 crores on day 2 (first Saturday) and also earned Rs 3.25 crores on day 3 (first Sunday). Interestingly, Tumbbad maintained a strong hold at the box office on first Monday (day 4) and went on to earn Rs 1.60 crores which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 8.35 crores

Tumbbad Box Office Collection Day 5 Prediction

Given the ongoing trend, Tumbbad is expected to have a steady growth in the numbers today (day 5/ first Tuesday) and is likely to earn Rs 1-1.5 crores at the box office. The movie is likely to inch close to Rs 10 crores mark and is likely to cross its original lifetime collection of Rs 13 crores in the first week.

Meanwhile, given the phenomenal response to Tumbbad, Sohum Shah has announced Tumbbad 2 with an intriguing teaser featuring characters Vinayak and his son Pandurang, with a voiceover from Sohum Shah saying, "Samay ka pahiya gol hai, jo beet gaya woh fir laut ke aayega...darwaaza bhi ek baar phir khulega"
