Tumbbad Box Office Collection Day 6 Prediction: Sohum Shah is all over the headlines these days. After all, his recent release Tumbbad is doing wonders at the box office. For the uninitiated, Tumbbad happens to be a folk horror drama which had initially released in 2018. Given the ongoing trend of re-releasing movies in theatres, Tumbbad had hit the screens once again after 6 years and it has opened to rave reviews from the audience. Directed by Rahi Anil Barve, Tumbbad is written by Mitesh Shah, Prasad, Rahi Anil Barve.

While Sohum plays the role of Vinayak Rao, Tumbbad also starrs Rudra Soni, Harsh K, Anita Date-Kelkar etc in the lead. The movie is set in a cursed village of Tumbbad which has been under a curse by the Gods with incessant rains for allegedly building a temple for demon God Hastar and also narrates the story of a Konkanastha Brahmin family in the village who are seeking an ancestral health which is linked to Hastar.

After witnessing a grand opening of Rs 1.65 crores and an impressive opening weekend, Tumbbad saw a major drop in numbers on first Monday. Reportedly, Tumbbad raked in Rs 1.69 crores on day 4 (first Monday) followed by a collection of Rs 1.66 crores on day 5 (first Tuesday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 10.69 crores.

Given the ongoing trend, Tumbbad is expected to have strong hold in the first week. The movie is likely to earn Rs 1-1.5 crores today (day 6/ first Wednesday) and will be inching close to crossing its lifetime collection of Rs 13.48 crores.

Meanwhile, given the phenomenal response to Tumbbad, Sohum Shah has announced Tumbbad 2 with an intriguing teaser featuring characters Vinayak and his son Pandurang, with a voiceover from Sohum Shah saying, "Samay ka pahiya gol hai, jo beet gaya woh fir laut ke aayega...darwaaza bhi ek baar phir khulega"
