Vedaa Box Office Collection Prediction Day 1: More than after a year, John Abraham is back on big screens with 'Vedaa'. The actor, who was last seen in 'Pathaan', plays the male protagonist named Major Abhimanyu Kanwar, a man with a tragic past. Direct by Nikkhil Advani, Vedaa is an action-drama that is inspired by true events. Amid decent anticipation, the John Abraham starrer hit cinemas today (August 15), clashing with 'Stree 2' and 'Khel Khel Mein'.

Headlined by John Abraham, Vedaa also stars 'Munjya' star Sharvari along with Abhishek Banerjee, Ashish Vidyarthi,and Kumud Mishra among others. The film also features Tamannaah Bhatia in an important role.

Vedaa reportedly revolves around the journey of a young woman (Sharvari), who fights back and championed by the one man (John) she believes is her savior.

Vedaa Box Office Collection Opening Day Prediction

Despite the craze around Stree 2, Johns film has managed to create a decent anticipation around it. Given the buzz, the film is likely to see a better-than-expected opening. According to producer and film business expert Girish Johar, Vedaa is said to witness a collection of over Rs 6-7 cr today.

During an exclusive chat with Filmibeat, he sai, "The trailer is very good. But largely because of Stree 2 being the first option, it will now remain dependent on the word of mouth. The good part about this long weekend is that the one film may gallop ahead in terms of day 1 and day 2. But when you have a long holiday, your good word of mouth is good, then eventually you stable out. That's the chance. I think it should be around Rs 6-7 crores plus at least to start with."

Vedaa Vs Khel Khel Mein Vs Stree 2

Amid Stree 2's historic craze, both Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein are getting crushed and how! However, John's film has managed to surpass the Akshay starrer on opening day. Girish Johar also told us that Khel Khel Mein is likely to have a slow start with within 5-6 cr. On the other hand, Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao's Stree 2 is likely to mint around Rs 30 cr on opening day.
