Vettaiyan Box Office Collection Day 1 (Hindi): Rajinikanth starrer Vettaiyan has been one of the biggest releases of the year for several reasons. The movie marks Rajinikanth's first full fledged film of the year. He was earlier seen doing a cameo in Lal Salaam. Besides, this T. J. Gnanavel also marks Amitabh Bachchan's debut in the Tamil industry. Besides, this action drama also marks Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan's onscreen reunion after over three decades. Interestingly, Vettaiyan has been facing comparisons with Rajinikanth's 2023 Jailer and Thalapathy Vijay's The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT). While Vettaiyan managed to beat Jailer (Rs 35 lakhs) on the first day, it failed to surpass the opening day collection of The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT). For the uninitiated, The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) had minted Rs 1.85 crores in the Hindi market on the opening day.
