Vettaiyan Box Office Collection Day 3 (Hindi): Rajinikanth has been all over the headlines lately and rightfully so. After all, he has come up with the much awaited movie Vettaiyan and his massive fan following across the world can't keep calm about it. Directed by T. J. Gnanavel, Vettaiyan is an action drama that boasts a stellar cast of Rajinikanth along with Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Abhirami, Rohini, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rao Ramesh and Ramesh Thilak

Marking Amitabh Bachchan's debut in the Tamil industry, Vettaiyan also marks the Kalki 2898 AD actor's much awaited reunion with Thalaiva Rajinikanth after 33 years. They were last seen together in the 1991 release Hum wherein they played the role of step brothers. Interestingly, both Big B and Rajinikanth are seen playing the role of police officers in Vettaiyan and their respective performances have managed to leave a mark. As Vettaiyan opened to rave reviews, it witnessed a decent performance at the box office.

After making an opening day collection of Rs 60 lakhs in the Hindi market, Vettaiyan witnessed a drop in numbers on day 2 (first Friday) wherein it earned Rs 40 lakhs only. However, while high hopes were pinned against the movie during the opening weekend, Vettaiyan saw a minimum growth in collections on day 3 (first Saturday). According to a report published in Sacnilk, Vettaiyan minted Rs 65 lakhs on day 3 in the Hindi market which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 1.65 crores in the Hindi market.

Vettaiyan Trails Behind The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) With Huge Gap

While Vettaiyan has been facing constant comparison with Thalapathy Vijay's The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), the Rajinikanth starrer has failed to beat the latter. Yes! Vettaiyan has been trailing behind The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) with a massive gap. For the uninitiated, The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) had minted Rs 2.35 crores on its day 3 of release in the Hindi market.

Meanwhile, as Vettaiyan continues to create a buzz in the town, there have been reports about the movie's digital release. According to media reports, Vettaiyan will be having its OTT release on Prime Video and will be out in November. However, no official announcement has been made in this regard so far.
