Vettaiyan Box Office Collection Day 6 (Hindi): Rajinikanth’s Film Sees Slight Hike But Fails To Beat Jailer

Vettaiyan Box Office Collection Day 6 (Hindi): Rajinikanth is one of the biggest stars in the country who has not only won hearts in Tamil industry but across several languages in the country. The legendary actor enjoys a massive fan following in the world and it is always a treat to watch him perform on the screen. After leaving everyone in awe of his performance in an extended cameo in Lal Salaam, Rajinikanth is now making headlines for his recent release Vettaiyan which has been grabbing eyeballs ever since it was announced.

Helmed by T.J Gnanavel, Vettaiyan has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year which has been winning hearts ever since it hit the theatres on Vijay Dashmi. The movie happens to be an action drama which also features Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Rithika Singh, Manju Warrier, Abhirami, Dushara Vijayan, Rao Ramesh and Ramesh Thilak. To note, Vettaiyan marks Amitabh Bachchan's debut in the Tamil industry and also marks his reunion with Rajinikanth after three decades.

Vettaiyan Box Office Collection Day 6 (Hindi)

After minting Rs 60 lakhs on the opening day in the Hindi market, Vettaiyan, the movie was seen witnessing a hike in the numbers during the opening weekend. However, the first Monday saw a massive drop in collections. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Vettaiyan raked in Rs 22 lakhs on the first Monday (day 5) followed by a collection of Rs 24 lakhs on the first Tuesday (day 6) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 2.76 crores in the Hindi market.

Vettaiyan Fails To Beat Jailer

While Vettaiyan did see a slight hike in numbers, it did fail to beat Rajinikanth's Jailer on the first Tuesday. For the uninitiated, Jailer had minted Rs 40 lakhs in the Hindi market on its day 6. It will be interesting to see if Vettaiyan will be able to pick up pace ahead of the second weekend.

Vettaiyan OTT Release Update

According to media reports, Vettaiyan is expected to have its digital release soon. The movie is expected to release on Prime Video next month (November). However, the makersare yet to make an official announcement about Vettaiyan OTT release.
