Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the quirky comedy entertainer opened to mostly positive reviews from the fans and critics alike. Despite the positive word-of-mouth, VVKWWV is yet to leave a mark at the box office.

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video - headlined by Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri - had its much-anticipated theatrical release on 11th October 2024, clashing with Alia Bhatt-Karan Johar's 'Jigra'. Amid decent buzz, VVKWWV opened to a box office collection of Rs 5.5 cr, followed by over 25% growth on Saturday. Since Sunday, the film has witnessed drop in numbers.

According to Sacnilk, the numbers dropped further below yesterday (day 7), and minted around Rs 1.75 cr (early estimates) on Thursday, taking the total 1st week collection to Rs 26.95 cr (nett).

Despite drop, VVKWWV has also managed to surpass the week 1 box office numbers of Rajkummar Rao-Janhvi Kapoor's last film 'Mr. & Mrs. Mahi', produced by Karan Johar-led Dharma Productions. As per Sacnilk, Rajkummar-Janhvi's Dharma film had collected Rs 24.45 cr (nett) in its 1st week in cinemas.
