Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction: Vikrant Massey is an actor who doesn't need an introduction. He has been a part of several popular movies like Chhapaak, 12th Fail, Haseen Dillruba, Forensic, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, etc. While it's been two years since he had hit the theatres with 12th Fail, Vikrant is making headlines again as he is set to return to theatres once again with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan which is a romantic drama and marks the much talked about debut of Shanaya Kapoor.

Written by Mansi Bagla and Helmed by Santosh Singh, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is adapted from Ruskin Bond's short story, The Eyes Have It and marks Vikrant's first collaboration with Shanaya. In this movie, Vikrant portrays a visually impaired musician, while Shanaya takes on the role of a theatre artist. The narrative unfolds during a train journey, exploring the bond between these two characters and examining human connections amidst modern relationships. In an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, film business expert Rohit Jaiswal stated that Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is likely to have a slow and disappointing start at the box office and is expected to mint Rs 75 lakhs to Rs 1 crores. On the other hand, in a tweet on micro-blogging site Twitter, film critic Sumit Kadel emphasised, "Only exceptional word of mouth can help it doing some kind of respectable business over the weekend."

Will Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyaan Beat 12th Fail On Opening Day?

Interestingly, there have been speculations about whether Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan will be able to surpass the opening day collection of Vikrant's last theatrical release 12th Fail. To note, 12th Fail had minted Rs 1.11 crores on day of release and if the prediction turned out to be true, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan will fail to beat Vidhu Vinod Chopra directorial.

Meanwhile, as Vikrant and Shanaya's intimate scenes in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan have been grabbing eyeballs, the 12th Fail actor told Filmygyan, "We've spoken about this. I think it's the trust factor that was built over a point of time. It strikes me that we are both very alike as people. Besides the acting workshop, or you know, chaahe fir woh blind school ki baat ho ya fir you know the challenges as actors we faced, uske alawa when we got to know each other as people, especially during the scene when we opened up as Vikrant and Shanaya and not just as actors, I think that also brought us closer".
