Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan Box Office Collection Day 3: Shanaya Kapoor has been all over the headlines and rightfully so. After all, Janhvi Kapoor's cousin has made her big Bollywood debut with the much talked about Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. Also starring Vikrant Massey in the lead, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is a romantic drama which is helmed by Santosh Singh. From trailers to the fresh chemistry, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan did manage to create a lot of buzz in the town since it was announced.
For the uninitiated, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is based on Ruskin Bond's The Eyes Have It. To note, Interestingly, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan revolves around a visually impaired musician (played by Vikrant Massey), a theatre artist (played by Shanaya Kapoor) and their train journey through Himalayas. Their conversation unfolds without disclosing their visual challenges. Through voice and touch, they develop an emotional connection. This narrative delves into how their relationship evolves and how they transform personally while dealing with societal views, strengthening their bond despite physical constraints. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan saw a dip in numbers on day 3 (first Sunday) and minted Rs 41 lakhs. This took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 1.2 crores
Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan Opening Weekend Collection
To note, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan made a collection of Rs 49 lakhs on day 2 (first Saturday) and Rs 41 lakhs on day 3 (first Sunday). As a result, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan minted Rs 90 lakhs during the opening weekend
Meanwhile, as Vikrant and Shanaya's intimate scenes in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan have been grabbing eyeballs, the 12th Fail actor told Filmygyan, "We've spoken about this. I think it's the trust factor that was built over a point of time. It strikes me that we are both very alike as people. Besides the acting workshop, or you know, chaahe fir woh blind school ki baat ho ya fir you know the challenges as actors we faced, uske alawa when we got to know each other as people, especially during the scene when we opened up as Vikrant and Shanaya and not just as actors, I think that also brought us closer".
