A report by Sacnilk highlighted that on its third day, Akaal managed to accumulate Rs 90 lakhs. This surge in revenue propelled the total box office collections of the movie to Rs 2.34 crores within just three days of hitting the screens.

During the unveiling of the "Akaal" trailer, Karan Johar opened up about the bond his father, Yash Johar, shared with his Punjabi background.
