This meeting triggers new alliances and fierce clashes, raising the personal stakes for Jake, Neytiri, and their children across Pandora's changing landscapes. Sam Worthington again plays Jake Sully, the former human who now leads as a Na'vi warrior defending the family. Zoe Saldaña is back as Neytiri, whose fierce loyalty drives many key moments, while Sigourney Weaver continues as Kiri, the mysterious Na'vi teenager. Meanwhile, as fans have been wondering about the future of the franchise, James Cameron told The Hollywood Reporter, "This can be the last one. There's only one [unanswered question] in the story. We may find that the release of Avatar 3 proves how diminished the cinematic experience is these days, or we may find it proves the case that it's as strong as it ever was - but only for certain types of films. It's a coin toss right now. We won't know until the middle of January."
