According to a report published in Sacnilk, Azaad, which made a collection of Rs 1.5 crores on the opening day, maintained a steady hold at the box office. The historical drama went on to earn Rs 1.5 crores once again on day 2 (first Saturday).

To note, Azaad is witnessing a box office clash with Kangana Ranaut's Emergency and the latter is giving Rasha and Aaman's film a tough competition. In fact, as Azaad raked in Rs 1.5 crores on day 2, Emergency earned over double its collection and earned Rs 3.5 crores.

Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn stated that Azaad is quite special for him and said, "Iss film mein 2 naye bachche launch kiye jaa rahe hain. Both very talented.
