Baby John Collection Day 9: Varun's Film Drops Further Below; Records Its Lowest Single Day On 2nd Thurs

Baby John Box Office Collection Day 9: Varun Dhawan's latest release 'Baby John' is struggling to pull audiences to theatres. Despite marking the biggest opener of Varun in the last 5 years, the massy actioner is failing to leave a mark at ticket counters. Directed by Kalees, Baby John, the Hindi adaptation of Thalapathy Vijay's 2016 Tamil blockbuster 'Theri', also features Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jackie Shroff and Rajpal Yadav in important roles. Superstar Salman Khan has also done a cameo in this Atlee-production venture. Amid decent buzz, the Varun Dhawan starrer hit cinemas on 25th December 2024, coinciding with Christmas holiday.

Baby John Box Office Collection Day 9 (Yesterday)

Headlined by Varun Dhawan, Baby John marks the Bollywood debut of the National Award-winning popular south actress Keerthy Suresh. The film opened to mostly positive reviews from fans and critics alike. However, the positive response is yet to reflect to its box office numbers. As per Sacnilk, VD's Baby John had a solid start at the box office with an opening day collection of Rs 11.25 cr. For those unversed, this marked Varun's biggest opening in the last 5 years.

After the excellent start, the film saw sharp dip in numbers. Even on the first weekend, the film failed to meet opening day numbers. Baby John went on to rake in around Rs 32.65 cr in its 1st week. According to the latest Sacnilk report, the film recorded its lowest single day on 2nd Thursday (yesterday, January 2) and scored Rs 1 cr (early estimates), taking the total estimated nett collection to Rs 36.40 cr in 9 days.

Reportedly, the film had an overall 9.20% Hindi occupancy on Thursday (January 02, 2025).

Day 8 (Wednesday): ₹ 2.75 cr

Baby John Budget & OTT Release Updates

According to reports, Baby John is made on an estimated budget of Rs 160 cr. As per an Deccan Chronicle report, the post-theatrical OTT streaming rights of the film have been acquired by Amazon Prime Video and if the report is to be believed, the film might arrive on the said digital streaming platform in late February this year. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
