Bhool Chuk Maaf had many troubles regarding its release. The sudden shift of movie's release to the OTT platform caused a legal battle. As per TOI's reports, PVR Inox filed a lawsuit against Bhool Chuk Maaf for causing the loss. However, the compromise between the makers and the PVR INOX was made. They then released the movie in theater on May 23, 2025. Bhool Chuk Maaf is now scheduled to release on Prime Video on June 6, 2025. In an interview with News18,the actor reflected on the storyline of the movie. He said, "I heard the story from Karan, and I found it very unique. The concept is so new for our Hindi industry. I've seen this concept in the West, and I've been a big fan of this space, this genre." The actor added, "The way Karan has written the whole story, keeping this time loop in it, the comedy in it, and the characters' arc, and in the end, there's a very beautiful social commentary also that we are making.So, it just came together very nicely for me (sic)."
