Chhaava Total Occupancy Day 1 Update: Fans of Vicky Kaushal have a reason to celebrate as the actor unveiled his latest film just in time for Valentine's Day, marking his first release of the year. The film, titled Chhaava, is an epic historical action drama directed by Laxman Utekar and brought to life under the production banner of Maddock Films by Dinesh Vijan. It features an ensemble cast including Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and Diana Penty, with Alok Nath among others taking on pivotal roles. The anticipation surrounding Chhaava was building up for a while, making it one of the year's most eagerly awaited films.
To note, Chhaava delves into the life story of Maratha king Sambhaji, with Vicky Kaushal stepping into the shoes of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Meanwhile, Akshaye Khanna undergoes a dramatic transformation to portray the role of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. The release of the film's trailer, coupled with its stellar cast, has generated considerable excitement, and early feedback from both audiences and critics has been overwhelmingly positive. This has sparked curiosity about the film's potential success at the box office.
Chhaava Total Occupancy Day 1
Interestingly, as Chhaava managed to create a massive buzz in the town, it witnessed an impressive footfall in theatres on the opening day. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Chhaava saw an occupancy of 30.51% in the morning shows. This was followed by a footfall of 34.50% during afternoon shows, 40.51% during evening shows and 62.55% during night shows. To note, with a phenomenal response from the audience, the total occupancy for Chhaava turned out to be 42.02% which has been the highest occupancy on day 1 in 2025.
Chhaava Failed To Beat Stree 2 In Occupancy On Day 1
Interestingly, there were speculations that if Chhaava will manage to beat Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 in terms of occupancy. However, the final reports suggested that Chhaava failed to surpass Stree 2 in terms of occupancy on day 1. For the uninitiated, Stree 2 recorded an occupancy of 55.42% in morning shows, 84.86% in afternoon shows, 85% in evening shows, 83.07% in night shows and a total occupancy of 77.09% on day 1.
