Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 1: Vicky Kaushal’s Film Beat Ranveer’s Padmaavat To Create A Big Record

Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 1 Update: Vicky Kaushal has all the reasons to be on cloud nine today. After all his much awaited film Chhaava has hit the screens on Valentine's Day and served as a perfect treat for the fans. Starring Vicky, Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Diana Penty, Ashutosh Rana etc in lead roles, Chhaava has been a historical action drama which is helmed by Laxman Utekar and is produced by Dinesh Vijan. Needless to say, Chhaava has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

Touted to be an adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant, Chhaava features Vicky Kaushal in the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj while Rashmika plays the role of Maharani Yesubai. On the other hand, Akshaye Khanna looked impressive as Aurangzeb. Ever since Chhaava had hit the screens, it has been facing a comparison with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. Interestingly, Chhaava has managed to give a tough fight to Padmaavat.

Chhaava Beats Padmaavat On Day 1

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Chhaava made a collection of Rs 31 crores on day 1 (first Friday). To note, it has managed to beat Padmaavat on the opening day as the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial had earned Rs 18 crores on its day of release.

Interestingly, after beating Padmaavat, Chhaava has managed to create a revord and recorded the highest opening for a historical film in Bollywood
