Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 16: Vicky Kaushal has all the reasons to grin from ear to ear. After all, his recent release, Chhaava has emerged as a blockbuster hit. Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Chhaava has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year and has undoubtedly managed to set the box office on fire since its day of release. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna in the lead, Chhaava happens to be a historical drama.

Apart from the lead trio, Chhaava also features Ashutosh Rana, Vineet Kumar Singh, Diana Penty and Divya Dutta in key roles. The movie is revolves around the life of second ruler of Maratha Empire - Sambhaji Maharaj. Interestingly, Chhaava is an adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant. The movie features Vicky playing the role of Sambhaji Maharaj while Akshaye Khanna is seen as the lead antagonist Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb and they have managed to leave the audience in absolute awe of their performance. After recording its lowest single day collection on third Friday, Chhaava recorded a hike of over 60%. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Chhaava, which minted Rs 13 crores on day 15 (third Friday), raked in Rs 21.5 crores on day 16 (third Saturday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 434 crores

Chhaava Records Highest 3rd Saturday Collection

With a collection of Rs 21.5 crores, Chhaava has managed to beat Pushpa 2: The Rule and recorded the highest third Saturday collection of all times. For the uninitiated, Chhaava had minted Rs 20 crores on its third Saturday.
