Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 23: Rashmika Mandanna has been on a roll lately. After winning hearts with Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal and Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rise, Rashmika is back in the news with her recent release. We are talking about Chhaava which is a historical action drama. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the movie features Vicky in the titular role and has been one of the most talked about films of the year.
To note, Chhaava is based on a Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant and revolves around the Maratha ruler Sambhaji Maharaj which Vicky portrayed. The movie featured Rashmika as the female lead as Yesubai Bhonsale along with Akshaye Khanna as the lead antagonist Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. The movie has opened to rave reviews from the audience and Rashmika's performance has been mighty praised by the audience and so has been her chemistry with Vicky Kaushal as it marked their first collaboration. Needless to say, Chhaava has been creating new box office records with every passing day. In fact, it has managed to enter the coveted Rs 500 crore club lately.
According to a report published in Sacnilk, Chhaava minted Rs 13.5 crores on day 23 (fourth Saturday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 503.3 crores and it created a new record for Rashmika
Rashmika Mandanna Beats Deepika Padukone For A New Record
As Chhaava has entered Rs 500 crores club, it has become Rashmika's third movie to cross the prestigious mark post COVID 19 pandemic era. Earlier, Animal and Pushpa 2: The Rise had also crossed entered Rs 500 crores club. Interestingly, she has managed to beat Deepika Padukone's record and became the only Indian actress with the highest number of movies in Rs 500crores club. Earlier, Deepika held the record with two of her movies making the prestigious achievement - Jawan and Pathaan.
Chhaava Beats Gadar 2 To Create A New Record
As Chhava has crossed the Rs 500Cr mark in 23 days of release, it has managed to beat Gadar 2 and became the 4th fastest film to achieve the feat. To note, Gadar 2 had entered the prestigious Rs 500 crores club in 24 days of release.
Meanwhile, talking about Chhaava at a promotional event, Vicky stated, "Mere liye mera saubhagya hai ki mujhe Chhatrapati Maharaj ka role nibhaane ka mauka mila. I am very grateful to Laxman Utekar and Dinesh Vijay Sir for choosing me for this role. Hamari ek hi koshish hai ki Maharashtra mein to sabko pata hai, bacche-bacchon ko pata hai. Par poori duniya mein, ghar-ghar mein bacche-bacchon ko pata lagna chahiye ki humare raje kaise the". To note, Chhaava also marks Vicky's second collaboration with Laxman Utekar after their 2023 release Zara Hatke Zara Bachke.
