Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 28: Vicky Kaushal has all the reasons to grin from ear to ear. After all, the versatile actor has proved his mettle once again at the box office as he has emerged as a huge 'toofan' at the ticket windows with his recent release. We are talking about Chhaava which is a historical action drama helmed by Laxman Utekar. Based on Shivaji Sawant's popular novel Chhava, the movie is produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films and Chhaava has been one of the most talked about releases of the year

Also featuring Akshaye Khanna and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead, Chhaava boasted a stellar supporting cast of Ashutosh Rana, Vineet Kumar Singh, Divya Dutta and Diana Penty. The movie revolved around the life of the fearless Maratha King Samhaji Maharaj, spoke about his valor and focussed on his 9 year long battle with Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. While Vicky has been winning hearts with his performance as Sambhaji Maharaj, Akshaye Khanna's unrecognisable look has also left everyone in awe. Interestingly, Chhaava has been creating waves at the box office and has managed to emerge as the highest grossing film of 2025 so far

Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 28 (Hindi)

Chhaava witnessed a drop of around 13% ahead of holi at the box office. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Chhaava minted Rs 3.5 crores on day 28 (fourth Thursday) in the Hindi market which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 528.45 crores as it wrapped week 4.

Chhaava Second Highest Week 4 Collection

To note, with a collection of Rs 3.5 crores, Chhaava has made a total collection of Rs 44.9 crores in week 4 in the Hindi domain. While the movie has managed to beat Stree 2 (Rs 36.1 crores) and Jawan (Rs 34.53 crores), it failed to beat the week 4 collection of Pushpa 2. For the uninitiated, Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 had minted Rs 53.75 crores in week 4

Chhaava Box Office Records

This isn't all. Chhaava has also recorded the second highest day 28 collection of Pushpa 2 (Rs 9.5 crores). However, the movie has also registered the highest day 28 and 4th Thursday collection in 2025.

Meanwhile, talking about Chhaava at a promotional event, Vicky stated, "Mere liye mera saubhagya hai ki mujhe Chhatrapati Maharaj ka role nibhaane ka mauka mila. I am very grateful to Laxman Utekar and Dinesh Vijay Sir for choosing me for this role. Hamari ek hi koshish hai ki Maharashtra mein to sabko pata hai, bacche-bacchon ko pata hai. Par poori duniya mein, ghar-ghar mein bacche-bacchon ko pata lagna chahiye ki humare raje kaise the". He also lauded Laxman and told Pinkvilla, "He has been so focused on making the film right, that whenever there is a problem, he will say 'We will try to find a solution together', with that calmness, with that composure, with that love for the team."

On the other hand, the ace filmmaker lauded Vicky's aura and stated it was unmatched as Chhatrapathi Sambhaji Maharaj and left everyone in absolute awe on the sets. He said, "There were 1500 people on our sets. Even when there is a little chaos, when Raaze got out of his vanity, it felt as though a lion is coming. When we used to see him in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj's costume with that sword, everyone would stand in attention. No one had the guts to say anything to him because he was Raaze to us and he still is. When he got out of his vanity, the entire crew would become quiet. That's his aura".
