In its 5th weekend, the movie witnessed a good surge of more than 60%, but with the beginning of the weekdays, the figures have plummeted significantly. But don't worry, because the theatrical run of the movie coming to an end implies its OTT release is not far away. Until now, however, neither the producers nor the streaming site have made an official announcement of the OTT release date for Chhaava.

A violent clash erupted between Hindi and Muslim groups in Nagpur on Monday evening. Hindu groups are demanding the removal of Aurangzeb's tomb in Sambhaji Nagar. The violence left 15 police officers and 5 civilians injured during the clash. This resulted into the imposition of Section 144.

Later, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis' statement at Vidhan Sabha went viral. He said in the assembly, "I am not blaming any cinema or movie, but 'Chhaava' has brought to us the true history of Chhatrapati Samhaji Maharaj. The movie has undoubtedly galvanised public opinion against Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, and even those who harbour love and admiration for him." Many started claiming that Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis was blaming movie Chhaava for the violence.

Neither any actors of the movie Chhaava or the makers have yet addressed the matter on social media. Chhaava is a historical action drama that tells the story of Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of Maratha Empire. The lead role in the movie is played by Vicky Kaushal. The movie is produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films. Chhaava also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Divya Dutta, Ashutosh Rana, Diana Penty, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Alok Nath in key roles.
