Box Office Collection: Chhaava Enters Rs 600 Cr Club. Where Do Kesari Chapter 2, Jaat Stand?

Chhaava Box Office Collection: The industry trade experts couldn't predict it. Bollywood filmmakers couldn't predict it. And the actors certainly didn't. Wondering what we're talking about? Well, Vicky Kaushal's Chava has done the unthinkable. The period drama, directed by Laxman Utekar, has crossed the Rs 600-crore mark at the domestic box office. Adding a new feather to its cap, Chhaava emerged as the third Hindi release to enter the coveted club. Stree 2 and Pushpa 2 were the first two films to achieve the milestone.
CHHAAVA BOX OFFICE COLLECTION TODAY: FILM ENTERS 600 CRORE CLUB
Despite the arrival of new releases like Kesari Chapter 2, Sikandar and Jaat, Chhaava managed to pull off some numbers, successfully entering the Rs 600-crore club with a weekend collection of Rs 30 lakhs. Taran Adarsh shared the week wise detailed box office collection of Chhaava, mentioning that the film achieved the feat after Stree 2 and Pushpa 2.
Interestingly, Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 and Allu Arjun-Rashmika Mandanna's Pushpa: The Rule released in 2024 while Chhaava arrived in the cinema halls in February 2025. It's been two months since the release of Chhaava but the movie is not ready to back down.
Adarsh proudly stated that the flick stormed past the Rs 600-crore mark. He tweeted, "600 NOT OUT... #Chhaava storms past the ₹ 600 cr mark... After #Pushpa2 #Hindi and #Stree2, #Chhaava becomes the third film to achieve this milestone... ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER (sic)."

KESARI CHAPTER 2 BOX OFFICE COLLECTION DAY
While we are gushing over Chhaava's performance in the theatres, how can we neglect the box office figures of the three big releases in the past one month? Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday starrer Kesari Chapter 2 hit the silver screens with big promises but did it deliver? This is the big question.
After a positive start, the courtroom drama picked up pace and earned numbers in double digits. The film earned over Rs 11 crore on Sunday, taking the total collection to Rs 29.62 crore in the first weekend.
Taran Adarsh shared the box office collection of Kesari 2 on Instagram along with a long note. He mentioned that multiplexes in Mumbai, Delhi and NCR performed well while other centres like Lucknow and Ahmedabad witnessed a growth on the third day.
"The growth on Saturday, followed by a jump on Sunday - especially in comparison to the #GoodFriday holiday - has placed #KesariChapter2 in a much better position, considering its ordinary start on Friday morning. While multiplexes and premium screens in #Mumbai , #Delhi , #NCR , #Bengaluru and #Pune were the best-performing centres, several key centers like #Kolkata , #Hyderabad , #Ahmedabad , #Lucknow , #Bhopal and #Chandigarh witnessed marked improvement on Sunday (sic)," the Bollywood critic wrote.
Monday will the real test for Kesari Chapter 2 as it needs to continue the momentum and earn solid numbers to ensure that the collection stays steady in the first week. Stating the same, Adarsh added, "All eyes are now on the crucial, make-or-break Monday numbers... #KesariChapter2 must sustain its momentum through the weekdays to ensure a healthy Week 1 total. As mentioned earlier, the absence of major releases until [Thursday] 1 May should work in its favor. #KesariChapter2 [Week 1] Fri 7.84 cr, Sat 10.08 cr, Sun 11.70 cr. Total: ₹ 29.62 cr (sic)."
JAAT BOX OFFICE COLLECTION: DID KESARI 2 AFFECT JAAT?
Sunny Deol's magic is working like a charm in the tier 2 and tier 3 markets. His film Jaat has crossed the Rs 75 crore mark in the second week despite competition from Kesari 2.
"75 NOT OUT... #Jaat crosses the ₹ 75 cr mark, posting a respectable total in Weekend 2... While #KesariChapter2 impacted its performance at urban multiplexes, the film continues to maintain a strong hold in mass-dominated circuits. Sunday, in particular, recorded the best numbers of Weekend 2, reaffirming its solid connect with its core audience (sic)," Taran Adarsh tweeted.
The trade analyst stated that Jaat is performing well in mass circuits, where Sunday recorded the best numbers in weekend two.
