Chhaava Box Office Day 32: Vicky’s Film Sees 55% Dip In Footfalls In Morning; Makes The Diplomat Struggle

Chhaava Occupancy Day 32 Morning Shows

Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 32 (Morning Show Occupancy): The film Chhaava has swiftly ascended to unparalleled success, earning the title of the highest-grossing movie of 2025. Its captivating depiction of a significant period in history has endeared it to viewers nationwide. Featuring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, this historical drama has been directed by Laxman Utekar. Utekar and Kaushal's prior collaboration in 2023 on Zara Hatke Zara Bachke laid the foundation for their effective partnership, which has continued to flourish with Chhaava.

Delving into the era of Sambhaji Maharaj, the esteemed second sovereign of the Maratha Empire, Chhaava draws its essence from Shivaji Sawant's renowned Marathi novel Chhava. The decision to base the film on this novel not only bolsters its historical accuracy but also allows the audience to connect deeply with a crucial segment of India's past. Vicky Kaushal, in particular, has been lauded for his portrayal of the central character, showcasing his ability to embody intricate roles with finesse.

Chhaava benefits greatly from its stellar ensemble cast, making the narrative even more compelling. Akshaye Khanna delivers an exceptional performance as the formidable Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, setting the stage for intense drama. The addition of actors like Diana Penty, Ashutosh Rana, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Divya Dutta adds varied dimensions to the storyline. Their performances contribute to making Chhaava a multifaceted portrayal of historical events, enriched with talent and intricate storytelling.

Chhaava Morning Show Occupancy Day 32

After witnessing an impressive footfall during the fifth weekend, and recording 14.48% occupancy during morning shows on the fifth Sunday, Chhaava saw a massive dip of around 58% in footfalls on the fifth Monday during the morning shows. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Chhaava recorded a footfall of 6.05% during the morning shows today (day 32/ fifth Monday).

The Diplomat Morning Show Occupancy Day 4

On the other hand, John Abraham starrer The Diplomat is facing a tough competition from Chhaava. Reportedly, The Diplomat, which recorded an occupancy of 8.86% during morning shows on day 3 (first Sunday), saw a footfall of 4.97% today (day 4/ first Monday). It is evident that The Diplomat has been crushed by Vicky's Chhaava in terms of occupancy

Meanwhile, talking about Chhaava at a promotional event, Vicky stated, "Mere liye mera saubhagya hai ki mujhe Chhatrapati Maharaj ka role nibhaane ka mauka mila. I am very grateful to Laxman Utekar and Dinesh Vijay Sir for choosing me for this role. Hamari ek hi koshish hai ki Maharashtra mein to sabko pata hai, bacche-bacchon ko pata hai. Par poori duniya mein, ghar-ghar mein bacche-bacchon ko pata lagna chahiye ki humare raje kaise the".

Meanwhile, talking about Vicky Kaushal's performance and aura in Chhaava, director Laxman Utekar stated, "When you know exactly what you want to achieve and you are confident, you avoid chaos. When your vision is clear, you don't get worked up". The director then praised his prolific actor in a way that not many can. He said, "There were 1500 people on our sets. Even when there is a little chaos, when Raaze got out of his vanity, it felt as though a lion is coming. When we used to see him in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj's costume with that sword, everyone would stand in attention. No one had the guts to say anything to him because he was Raaze to us and he still is. When he got out of his vanity, the entire crew would become quiet. That's his aura"
