The actor has been making headlines with his recent release Chhaava which has managed to set the box office on fire. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Chhaava saw a hike in numbers as it earned Rs 3.7 crores in India including (Rs 3.5 crores in Hindi and Rs 20 lakhs in Telugu) on day 37 (sixth Saturday). This took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 578.65 crores (including Rs 563.45 cr in Hindi and Rs 15.4 crores in Telugu).

Given the ongoing trend, Chhaava is expected to see another hike today. The movie is likely to earn Rs 5-7 crores today (day 38/ sixth Sunday) and is likely to inch close to Rs 585 crores mark.

Vicky, at a promotional event for Chhaava, expressed his deep sense of fortune and appreciation for being able to play Chhatrapati Maharaj. He emphasized the importance of introducing the storied legacy of Maharashtra's revered king to a global audience. Vicky credited his opportunity to the trust Laxman Utekar and Dinesh Vijay Sir had in him.
