Chhaava (Chava) box office collection today 16: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, let's give the crown of the highest grosser of first quarter to Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava. Salman Khan's Sikander has a tough task ahead as Vicky's epic period drama is on its way to the Rs 500-crore club. While it's too early to predict the box office collection of Sikander, it's safe to assume that Laxman Utekar's movie is ready to dethrone Gadar 2 in terms of domestic net box office revenue.

Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh released the box office collection for Chhaava on social media, revealing that the film continued to perform despite the reduction in shows due to the arrival of new movies.

Chhaava earned Rs 13.30 crore on Friday (February 28), taking the total collection to Rs 424.76 crore. It performed better than Pushpa 2 and Baahubali 2 on its third Friday.

He tweeted, "Despite multiple mid-range releases and reduction in shows, #Chhaava remains in superb form, registering double-digit numbers on its third Friday. Notably, #Chhaava's *third Friday* collections [₹ 13.30 cr] are HIGHER than #Pushpa2 #Hindi [₹ 12.50 cr] and #Baahubali2 #Hindi [₹ 10.05 cr] (sic)."

The period drama is unstoppable in the cinema halls. The audiences have showered the film with love, appreciating the power-packed performance of Vicky Kaushal, Akshaye Khanna and Vineet Kumar. Taran Adarsh mentioned that the film will witness a solid jump on weekends, raking in big moolah at the box office.

"#Chhaava is set for a solid jump over the weekend [Saturday and Sunday], ensuring another round of impressive numbers. #Chhaava [Week 3] Fri 13.30 cr. Total: ₹ 424.76 cr (sic)," the veteran critic wrote on the micro-blogging site X.

According to Sacnilk, Chhaava has already earned over Rs 9 crore, till the time of reporting. It needs to earn over Rs 26 crore (in terms of net box office collection) to cross the Rs 450-crore mark.

Chhaava has already dethroned PK, Tiger Zinda Hai, Sanju, Padmaavat in the ranking of highest grossers in terms of domestic box office collection. While Jawan is placed at the number one spot, Maddock Film's Jawan has secured the second position followed by Ranbir Kapoor's Animal.
