At a time when Bollywood has been marred with box office failures like Emergency, Azaad, Loveyapa, SkyForce and Mere Husband Ki Biwi, Chaava emerged as a saviour for the industry, shattering records.

Vicky has every reason to be on cloud nine as Chhaava is holding its strong grip in the cinema halls.

Despite the release of small-budget films, Chhaava continued to rake in big moolah at the box office. While producers are busy depending on promotional gimmicks, and controversies to sell their content, Maddock Films nailed a sixer with ease.

Last year, Maddock Films smashed box office records with Stree 2, which crossed the Rs 600-crore mark in the domestic market. The horror comedy starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao set the cash registers jingling, wooing the audience with its storyline and impeccable performances of all artists.

Chhaava earned Rs 526.05 crore till Monday (March 10), as per Sacnilk. It recorded a net collection of over Rs 6 crore, according to a report in Indian Express.

While Gadar 2 earned Rs 525.45 crore, Chhaava overtook the film with a better collection. According to a report in Sacnilk, Vicky Kaushal's film earned Rs 5.15 crore (early estimates) on day 26 (Tuesday, March 11).

As per the latest update on the website, the movie has collected ₹ 530.95 Cr, till the time of reporting. After beating Gadar 2, Chhaava is now eyeing to dethrone Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster film from the list of highest domestic net collection of Hindi films.

Can you guess which film we are talking about? There's no prize for guessing that we are talking about Pathaan. Pathaan proved to be the perfect comeback vehicle for Bollywood, minting huge sums of money.

Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padune, and John Abraham earned ₹543.05 crore. Chhaava is now inching closer towards the Rs 545-crore mark and it is expected to achieve the feat in the upcoming days following the Holi 2025-weekend.

On a related note, Chhaava has pipped films like Sanju, Padmaavat, PK, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Tiger Zinda Hai to emerge as one of the highest domestic grossers in Bollywood. The film has proved all the experts wrong, confirming that a project will work irrespective of the marketing and promotions if the content is good.
