Featuring Vicky Kaushal as the Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Chhaava currently marks the highest-grossing film of Vicky's career till now. Amid the strong pre-release buzz, the movie opened to positive reviews from fans and critics alike. Due to the positive word-of-mouth, the magnum opus went on to touch Rs 219.25 cr (nett) in its first week in theatres.
According to Sacnilk, the Hindi-language period-drama raked in around Rs 18.5 cr yesterday (2nd Tuesday), taking the total nett collection to Rs 363.75 cr in 12 days. The total gross collection stands at Rs 435.35 cr in India.

Mounted on a reported budget of Rs 130 cr approx., Chhaava is already a box office blockbuster. Given the current buzz, the movie is likely to witness a surge in numbers today (2nd Wednesday, Feb 26) and add a total amount of somehwere between Rs 25-30 cr to its India gross collection, benefitting from the occasion of Maha Shivratri.
If the prediction turns out to be right, Chhaava will cross the Rs 450 cr-mark today domestically (India gross collection).
