Chhaava Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 27: Vicky’s Film Sees 85% Hike In Overseas Market On 4th Wednesday

Chhaava Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 27: Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava has managed to end the dry spell at the box office and there are no second thoughts about it. The historical drama, which has been helmed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan, has been making headlines for its impressive storyline and stellar cast. For the uninitiated, apart from Vicky, the movie also features Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Diana Penty, Vineet Kumar Singh, Divya Dutta and Ashutosh Rana in the lead.

For the uninitiated, Chhaava is based on the life of Maratha King Sambhaji Maharaj who is known for his valor and his iconic battle with Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. The movie is adapted from a Marathi novel Chhava written by Shivaji Sawant. While Vicky was a sight to behold in the role of Sambhaji Maharaj, Akshaye Khanna looked unrecognisable as Aurangzeb. This isn't all. Vicky's chemistry with Rashmika as Sambhaji and his wife Yesubai Bhonsale has also got everyone brimming with an opinion. As Chhaava opened to rave reviews, it has managed to rule the box office.

As Chhaava has been witnessing a continuous dip in numbers during the fourth week, the fourth Wednesday came with a sigh of relief. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Chhaava saw a massive hike of over 85% in collections in the overseas market. The movie minted Rs 1.55 crores in the overseas market on day 27 (fourth Wednesday) follwing which the overall overseas collection turned out to be Rs 87 crores. On the other hand, the worldwide collection of the film stands at Rs 726.50 crores

Chhaava Records Highest Overseas Collection On Day 27

Interestingly, as Chhaava earned Rs 1.55 crores in the overseas collection on the fourth Wednesday, it has turned out to be the highest overseas collection on day 27 in 2025.

It is worth mentioning that given the stupendous success of Chhaava, the movie is now being dubbed in Telugu language. While Chhaava's Telugu trailer was released on March 3, the dubbed version has hit the screens on March 7 and opened to a decent response from the audience.

Meanwhile, talking about Chhaava at a promotional event, Vicky stated, "Mere liye mera saubhagya hai ki mujhe Chhatrapati Maharaj ka role nibhaane ka mauka mila. I am very grateful to Laxman Utekar and Dinesh Vijay Sir for choosing me for this role. Hamari ek hi koshish hai ki Maharashtra mein to sabko pata hai, bacche-bacchon ko pata hai. Par poori duniya mein, ghar-ghar mein bacche-bacchon ko pata lagna chahiye ki humare raje kaise the". To note, Chhaava also marks Vicky's second collaboration with Laxman Utekar after their 2023 release Zara Hatke Zara Bachke.
