Chhaava Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 28: Chhaava, featuring Vicky Kaushal in the lead role, has successfully revived the box office, breaking the recent slump. Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan, this historical drama has garnered attention for its compelling narrative and exceptional ensemble cast. The film stars notable actors like Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Diana Penty, Vineet Kumar Singh, Divya Dutta, and Ashutosh Rana, who have all contributed to the movie's widespread acclaim.
Set against the backdrop of a significant period in Indian history, Chhaava tells the story of Maratha King Sambhaji Maharaj, renowned for his bravery and his strategic confrontations with Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. The plot is a cinematic adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant, bringing to life the legend of Sambhaji Maharaj with Vicky Kaushal portraying the titular character. Akshaye Khanna's transformation into Aurangzeb has been particularly praised, marking a stark departure from his familiar appearances. Chhaava has wrapped week 4 on a slow note at the worldwide box office. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Chhaava saw a massive drop of over 67% in overseas collections/ The movie minted Rs 50 lakhs s in the overseas market on day 28 (fourth Thursday) following which the overall overseas collection turned out to be Rs 87.5 crores. On the other hand, the worldwide collection of the film stands at Rs 731 crores
Chhaava Inches Close To Beat 2.0 Lifetime Worldwide Collection
Interestingly, Chhaava, which is continuing to record highest overseas collection on day 28, is just Rs 13.78 crores away to beat the lifetime worldwide collection of 2.0.
Meanwhile, talking about Chhaava at a promotional event, Vicky stated, "Mere liye mera saubhagya hai ki mujhe Chhatrapati Maharaj ka role nibhaane ka mauka mila. I am very grateful to Laxman Utekar and Dinesh Vijay Sir for choosing me for this role. Hamari ek hi koshish hai ki Maharashtra mein to sabko pata hai, bacche-bacchon ko pata hai. To note, Chhaava also marks Vicky's second collaboration with Laxman Utekar after their 2023 release Zara Hatke Zara Bachke.
