Deva Occupancy Report Day 1: Shahid Kapoor and Rosshan Andrrews' Deva is undoubtedly one of the most highly-anticipated releases of the year. The Hindi-language cop-actioner marks the Malayalam filmmaker's directorial debut in Bollywood. Amid the strong pre-release buzz, the film hit cinemas today (Friday, January 31). After an underwhelming start in the morning, the cast and crew of the Shahid Kapoor-starrer was under pressure. But the film gradually picked up pace later day, bringing in slight relief for them.

Due to the positive word-of-mouth, the movie recorded jump in occupancy and saw 9.18% footfalls in afternoon shows. According to the latest Sacnilk updates, Shahid's Deva witnessed nearly 50% jump in footfalls during evening shows as compared to the morning occupancy.

Officially announced in May 2023, Deva has been mounted on a budget of Rs 50 cr, according to IMDb. As shown in poster and trailer, the Shahid Kapoor starrer will have its OTT premiere on Netflix after its theatrical. Yes, Netflix has acquired the digital streaming right of the movie.
