Deva Box Office Collection Day 2 Prediction: Shahid Kapoor, who had made groove to his tunes with the 2024 release Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, is now making headlines for his first release of the year. We are talking about Deva which is an action thriller. Directed by Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews, Deva features Shahid in the role of a super cop along with Pooja Hegde and Pavail Gulati. Touted to be the remake of Malayalam film Mumbai Police, Deva has been one of the most awaited films of the year.

Interestingly, Deva came with many firsts with its release. From being Shahid's first release of 2025, to Rosshan Andrrews' debut in Bollywood, Shahid Kapoor's first collaboration with Pooja Hegde etc, Deva left no stone unturned to keep the audience intrigued and excited for its release. As Deva had hit the theatres on Januaryn 31, it opened to mixed reviews from the audience and a slow start at the box office.

Shahid Kapoor starrer Deva, according to a report published in Sacnilk, minted Rs 5 crores on its opening day (day 1/ first Friday). To note, Deva turned out to be Shahid's second highest opener after the COVID 19 pandemic after Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya

Given the ongoing trend, Deva is likely to see some hike during the weekend. The movie is expected to mint Rs 6-8 crores today (day 2/ first Saturday) and will be crossing Rs 10 crores mark at the box office.

Meanwhile, talking about his physical transformation for Deva, Shahid told Zoom, "So, what I wanted to do with this character was, I didn't want to make him metrosexual, chiseled-no. I felt like he should look very rugged. In my head, I always thought he should be like a bulldog. "They're these broad-shouldered, stout beings. They don't have much hair, and they look tough. Aise lagta hai na, maar denge aise. Mera feeling wahi tha ki he should be this tough guy. They're raw, and they look strong. Jisko dekhke lagega, isse panga maat lo. Isse dur raho. Toh mujhe thoda woh vibe chahiye tha".
