Deva Box Office Collection Day 2: Shahid’s Film Sees Hike On 1st Saturday; Crosses 10Cr Amid Sky Force Fever

Deva Box Office Collection Day 2: Shahid Kapoor ended the month of January on an interesting note for his fans as he came with his first release of the year. We are talking about Deva which a crime action thriller and one of the most anticipated releases of 2025. Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, Deva features Shahid in the role of a ferocious cop Dev Ambre along with Pooja Hegde and Pavail Gulati. Interestingly, Deva also marks Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews' debut in the Bollywood industry.

For the uninitiated, Deva happens to be the remake of Rosshan Andrrews' 2013 release Malayalam film Mumbai Police starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead. Interestingly, Deva revolves around Dev Ambre a hot headed cop and his swag has been on point. Besides, as the film marks Shahid's first collaboration with Pooja, their chemistry has also been winning hearts and has got everyone curious about Deva's box office performance.

After witnessing an opening day collection of Rs 5.5 crores, Deva saw a hike in numbers on first Saturday. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Deva managed to earn Rs 6.25 crores on day 2 (first Saturday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 11.75 crores.

Deva Records Third Highest Day 2 Collection

With a slight hike in collections, Deva raked in Rs 6.15 crores on the second day. Interestingly, the movie has recorded the third highest day 2 and first Saturday collection after Sky Force and Game Changer (Hindi) respectively.

Meanwhile, talking about his physical transformation for Deva, Shahid told Zoom, "So, what I wanted to do with this character was, I didn't want to make him metrosexual, chiseled-no. I felt like he should look very rugged. In my head, I always thought he should be like a bulldog. "They're these broad-shouldered, stout beings. They don't have much hair, and they look tough. Aise lagta hai na, maar denge aise. Mera feeling wahi tha ki he should be this tough guy. They're raw, and they look strong. Jisko dekhke lagega, isse panga maat lo. Isse dur raho. Toh mujhe thoda woh vibe chahiye tha".
