Deva Box Office Collection Day 2: Shahid's Film Sees Almost 3X Rise In Evening Compared To Morning Occupancy

Deva Afternoon & Evening Occupancy Report Day 2: With much hype over his latest movie, Deva, Shahid Kapoor's movie marked a great beginning at the box office. It collected a good amount of Rs. 5.5 crore on the first day of its release. Now with the weekend upon the movie, there is likely to be a positive increase in its numbers for Day 2 since more filmgoers would rush to theaters during the weekend screenings. According to Sacnilk's report, Deva saw 14.20% evening occupancy. This is almost 3 times what the movie had in the morning. To note, Deva had 5.84% occupancy in the morning shows. While, the afternoon shows saw a hike of around 2X, with 11.28% occupancy in afternoon shows.

Deva created much buzz among the viewers primarily because Shahid Kapoor played such a strong aggressive role in the movie. Right after its trailer released, many fans compared his character to the one Kabir Singh had. In addition, the movie drew attention because it marks the debut of Malayalam film director Rosshan Andrrews in Hindi cinema. Besides Shahid Kapoor as ACP Dev Ambre, Deva features a strong ensemble cast that includes Pooja Hegde, Pavail Gulati, Pravesh Rana, Girish Kulkarni, and Kubbra Sait in key roles.
