Deva Box Office Collection Day 5 Prediction: Shahid Kapoor's latest venture, Deva, has been a hot topic due to its action-packed storyline and star-studded cast, yet it has not performed as expected at the box office. This action thriller, directed by Rosshan Andrrews, casts Shahid as a fierce and impulsive policeman. It's noteworthy that Deva is Rosshan's first Bollywood project, introducing a collaboration with actors Pooja Hegde and Pavail Gulati alongside Shahid. Despite the anticipation built by its trailer, the film's reception has been lukewarm.

Deva draws its inspiration from the 2013 film Mumbai Police, previously directed by Rosshan Andrrews and starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role. This adaptation features Shahid Kapoor in the role of Dev Ambre, showcasing his swagger, his interaction with Parvesh Rana, and his on-screen chemistry with Pooja Hegde. The film was packed with the elements typical of a Bollywood blockbuster, including catchy songs and a vibrant cast. However, despite these promising aspects and the considerable excitement it generated, Deva has struggled to meet expectations and achieve success at the box office.

Deva saw a massive drop in numbers on the first Monday (day 4) post a slow performance during the opening weekend. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Deva earned Rs 2.55 crores which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 21.70 crores

Given the ongoing trend, Deva is expected to see another drop in numbers today (day 5/ first Tuesday) at the box office. The movie is expected to mint Rs 1.5-2 crores and will be inching close to Rs 25 crores mark

Meanwhile, talking about his physical transformation for Deva, Shahid told Zoom, "So, what I wanted to do with this character was, I didn't want to make him metrosexual, chiseled-no. I felt like he should look very rugged. In my head, I always thought he should be like a bulldog. "They're these broad-shouldered, stout beings. They don't have much hair, and they look tough. Aise lagta hai na, maar denge aise. Mera feeling wahi tha ki he should be this tough guy. They're raw, and they look strong. Jisko dekhke lagega, isse panga maat lo. Isse dur raho. Toh mujhe thoda woh vibe chahiye tha".
