Starring Shahid Kapoor, Pooja Hegde, Pavail Gulati and Kubbra Sait among others, Deva hit cinemas today (Friday, Jan 31) amid the strong pre-release buzz. Despite the positive word-of-mouth, Shahid's cop actioner is having a slow run at the box office.
According to the latest Sacnilk updates; the Hindi-language action-thriller has managed to rake in around Rs 1.47 cr (nett) only till 6:25 PM IST.
Deva Vs Kabir Singh Opening Day Collection (Early Trends)
Given Shahid's aggressive role in Deva, fans have been comparing his character in Deva with what he played in his 2019 blockbuster film 'Kabir Singh'. While the Hindi remake of 'Arjun Reddy' broke many records, fans couldn't help but to draw similarities between the two characters - Kabir Singh & Dev Ambre.
Shahid's Deva is struggling to even earn 50% of what Kabir Singh collected on its opening day. As per an earlier Sacnilk report, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial had scored Rs 20.21 cr on the day of its release.

As per Sacnilk, Shahid Kapoor's Deva recorded an underwhelming footfall of 5.87% during morning shows today. Later in the day, the movie picked up an upward trend and saw 9.18% occupancy in afternoon shows.
